HOUSEHOLD INSURANCE
HOUSEHOLD INSURANCE
WHY DO I NEED IT?
Buildings insurance is not compulsory, however, if you have a mortgage your lender will insist that you have a full buildings insurance policy. This is to protect their interests in the event of the property (for example) burning to the ground, whilst you still owe them money on your mortgage. Even once you have paid your mortgage off, we would ALWAYS recommend that you carry buildings insurance. Premiums start from as little as:-
Property value £60.000
Annual Premium £60.00 plus Insurance Premium Tax
Contents insurance is again not compulsory, however, once again, we always recommend that you have the cover. Possessions that you have collected over the years are valuable in not only monetary terms but quite often have a high sentimental value too. PROTECT THEM by arranging insurance cover on them. Premiums start from as little as:-
Contents value £30,000
Annual Premium £63.00 plus Insurance Premium Tax
WE ONLY SELL NEW FOR OLD POLICIES, e.g. A TV PURCHASED THREE YEARS AGO FOR £400.00 WOULD BE REPLACED AT TODAYS PRICES IF IT WAS DAMAGED BEYOND ECONOMICAL REPAIR.
(Refer to the policy section applicable for the full policy coverage.)
N.B. One or two sections are not 'New for Old', they tend to be things like 'Wear and Tear' to clothing and linen.
